8 slices bread (whichever your family will eat)
Swiss cheese slices
Honey-Baked Ham slices
4 large eggs
1/2 C. milk
Salt and pepper
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
4 or more T. of butter
What to do:
Spread mustard on 4 slices of bread and on the other 4, spread your mayo. Layer 4 bread slices with Swiss cheese, ham, and cheese again. Place remaining bread slices on top.
In a shallow dish or pie plate, big enough to put your sandwiches in, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Dip each sandwich in the egg mixture, making sure to coat well.
In a large skillet, melt half the butter over medium-low heat. When butter is melted, add two sandwiches, and cook, turning once, until golden brown on both sides, 6 to 8 minutes total. Repeat with remaining sandwiches. Serve immediately.
