Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 7 minutes
Serves: 4-6
Ingredients:
1/2 C. whole cashews
1/2 C. whole almonds
1/2 C. pecan halves
1/2 C. peanuts, skins removed
1/2 C. sugar
1/4 C. butter
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
What to do:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Place your nuts on a cookie sheet and roast 7 to 8 minutes; your nose will know when they’re done.
Melt butter, sugar, ginger, salt, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, and cayenne pepper in large microwave bowel. If it separates don’t worry keep going.
Remove toasted nuts from oven add to the butter mixture, make sure you combine well. As it sites at room temperature the butter will soak into the nuts and the sugar will harden a bit. Transfer nuts to a serving dish. Serve warm or cold.
Christina’s Notes:
Don’t have these nuts? Then use 2 cups mixed nuts, they will be fabulous! If you think you used too much butter, put nuts bake on the cookie sheet and put back into the oven for a few minutes. Watch them close so they don’t burn.
