4 large mouth pint canning jars and lids, this size jar gives me extra room to stir without making a mess when I’m on the go.
2 1/2 C. quick cooking oats or old fashioned oats
2 1/2 C. unsweetened vanilla almond milk, regular milk, or lactose free milk
2 T. brown sugar, honey or maple syrup …more or less depending how sweet you like it
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon, extra for garnish
1/2 C. peanut butter
2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1/4 C. chopped walnuts, (any type of nut will do) extra for garnish
1/4 C. bananas, extra for garnish
Melted peanut butter for drizzling
Mini chocolate chips for garnish (optional)
What to do:
In a large bowl combine all the ingredients well, except the extra nuts and bananas. Put in the refrigerator overnight. You can warm this up the next morning (don’t put the metal lid in the microwave) or you can eat it cold. I like mine warmed so after I warm it up I fill it with the extra nuts, extra banana slices, mini chocolate chips and a drizzle of warmed peanut butter. That’s why I use a bigger jar so all my goodies fit in……off I go!!!!!
