Every time I make these they get devoured and people want more. They have a little kick, you’ll love these little zippy full of flavor-filled jalapenos. These can be prepared ahead of time and pop in the oven about 20 minutes before serving.
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 20-30 minutes
Serves: 24 or so, this depends on the size of the Jalapenos
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground Italian sausage (or regular pork or whatever appeals to you)
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 C. shredded cheddar cheese
1 lb. jalapenos seeded and cut lengthwise
1 green onion finely chopped.
What to do:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Place a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat and cook sausage until no longer pink and done all the way. Drain grease and place in a medium-size bowl; combine the rest of the ingredients. Fill each jalapeno half with about 1 tablespoon of mixture. Arrange them on a baking sheet and bake for 20-30 minutes until nice, bubbly and golden brown. Garnish with red pepper flakes and chopped green onions.
