Ingredients:
4 C. cooked egg noodles
1 lb. ground beef
16 oz. tomato sauce
1 C. cottage cheese
8 oz. cream cheese
1/3 C. minced onion
1/4 C. diced green pepper
1/4 C. sour cream
salt and pepper to taste
2 T. melted butter
Garnish with parsley or green onion (optional)
What to do:
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
Grease a 2 qt. casserole dish.
In a large skillet brown your beef and stir in the tomato sauce. Remove from heat and set aside. In a separate bowl combine the cottage cheese, cream cheese, onion, green pepper, sour cream and salt and pepper to taste. Spread half of the noodles in the casserole dish than cover with the cheese mixture. Add the remaining noodles and pour melted butter over the noodles. Next, add the meat mixture, cover and bake for 45 minutes. Garnish with parsley or green onion.
