Ingredients:
4 large mouth pint canning jars and lids, this size jar gives me extra room to stir without making a mess when I’m on the go.
2 1/2 C. quick cooking oats or old fashioned oats
2 1/2 C. unsweetened vanilla almond milk, regular milk, or lactose free milk
Pinch of kosher salt
2 T. brown sugar, more or less depending how sweet you like it
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon, extra for garnish
1 tsp. almond extract
2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1/4 cup raw sliced almonds, extra for garnish
1/4 C. raw walnuts, extra for garnish
Blueberries, blackberries, raspberries or strawberries (whatever fruit or combination of fruit floats your boat)
What to do:
In a large bowl combine all the ingredients well, except the extra nuts and fruit. Put in the refrigerator overnight. You can warm this up the next morning (don’t put the metal lid in the microwave) or you can eat it cold. I like mine warmed so after I warm it up I fill it with fruit and the extra nuts. That’s why I use a bigger jar so all my goodies fit in……off I go!!!!!
