Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 30-40 minutes
Serves: 8
Ingredients:
1 can Crescent Rolls (I use the big and buttery) or premade pie crust cut into 8 wedges
1 small bag of frozen cherries, you can also use fresh or canned
1 stick (1/2 C.) butter, melted
3/4 C. sugar
1, 1/2 T. flour
2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, extra for sprinkling
1/2 can (6 oz.) Cherry soda
Whipped Cream, ice cream or powdered sugar for serving
What to do:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Treat an 8×8 or 9×9 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter. Place 3 to 4 cherries in the wide part of the crescent roll, then roll it up, place in treated baking dish. In a small bowl combine melted butter, sugar, cinnamon, flour, and mix until just combined, spoon over each crescent roll. Pour the soda around the edges and in the middle of the pan, DO NOT POUR over crescent rolls. Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake for 30-40 minutes. Remove from the oven and let sit 10-15 minutes before serving, they will be very hot. Serve warm with fresh whipped cream, vanilla ice cream or powdered sugar and don’t forget to spoon over that fantastic sauce!!!
