A spider I don’t mind in my kitchen. Making these this afternoon! Easy on my wallet, can be done in no time and so simple anyone can do these cute little creatures. This one is always on my Halloween menu. -Mrs. G
What you need:
Large pretzel twists
Pretzel crisps
Mini donuts and donut balls
Candy eyeballs
Frosting, I used white, red and black (to save time I bought the store bought ones already mixed and in pouches, they also include a small tip)
What to do:
For the spiders: Use a sharp knife to cut the two curved sides off a pretzel, carefully push 6 pretzels curves into the top of a mini donut to form legs. Press slowly so you don’t snap the pretzels or smosh the donuts. Pipe some frosting onto the mini donut where you pierced a hole with the pretzels, this will act as glue so they will stick better, now glue the eyes on. Let them sit out for a few hours to let the frosting harden.
For the coconut bats: Use a sharp knife to cut out a corner of the pretzel, carefully push the corner of the pretzel into the top of a mini donut to form the ear. Press slowly so you don’t snap the pretzels or smosh the donuts. Pipe some frosting onto the mini donut where you pierced a hole with the pretzel, this will act as glue so they will stick better, now glue the eyes on. Make a dot out of the black frosting for the nose. Let them sit out for a few hours to let the frosting harden.
