Serves: about 3 cups
Ingredients:
1 (29 oz.) can pumpkin puree, approx. 3 1/2 cups or fresh (not pie filling)
1 C. apple juice
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 C. brown sugar
1 T. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
What to do:
Combine all your ingredients in a large saucepan and mix well. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer, covered with lid jar, I use a wooden spoon to prop the lid. Simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring frequently until desired consistency, the longer you cook it the thicker the butter. Once done adjust spices if needed and let cool.
