Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10-15 minutes
Serves: 4-6
Ingredients:
1/2 -1 lb. leftover turkey, cut into pieces
1/2 lb. deli Munster cheese (or any cheese you like), cut into fourths
1/3 C. mayonnaise
1 1/2 T. Dijon mustard
1/2 C. melted butter
1 T. onion powder
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 pkg. (12 count) Sweet or regular dinner rolls
Turkey gravy for dunking
What to do:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cut rolls in half and spread mayo onto bottom half of the rolls. Place pieces of turkey and 1-2 slices of cheese on the roll. In a medium size bowl mix together, Dijon mustard, melted butter, onion powder and Worcestershire sauce. Spread some of the mixture on the bottom tops of the dinner rolls, then pour the leftover sauce over the cheese and turkey (I like to do this because it seems to make them more moist and flavorful) then place tops back on the sandwiches and bunch them closely together into a foil lined 9×13 baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted. Uncover and cook for additional 2 minutes until tops are slightly browned and crisp. Serve warm with a side of turkey gravy to dunk your sandwiches in.
Christina’s Notes: Additional toppings: Cranberry sauce, grilled onions, and peppers, jalapenos, bacon, tomatoes….etc.
