This Garlicky Roasted Cheesy Asparagus side dish is made on a single pan, within 20 minutes, few ingredients and comes out perfect and tender every single time. Enjoy this flavor packed delicious baked asparagus recipe with your favorite dinner.
Ingredients:
1 lb. Fresh asparagus, see notes
2 T. Olive oil
1 T. Minced garlic
1 T. Seasoning, I used Italian, but go with what you like.
Salt and pepper to taste
1 C. Shredded cheese, I used Pepper Jake, but again chose what you desire
1/4 C. Grated Parmesan
1/4 tsp. Red pepper flakes
What to do:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Sprinkle half of your olive oil on a large sheet pan. Then spread the asparagus evenly in a single layer. Sprinkle with the rest of the olive oil, minced garlic, seasoning, salt and pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Using your hands or tongs, toss the asparagus to evenly coat each piece. Spread the asparagus back onto the sheet pan in a single layer. Bake for 15 minutes, just until tender. Take sheet pan out of the oven and turn oven to broil. Sprinkle both cheeses down the middle of your asparagus. Return to oven and melt the cheese until its golden brown and bubbly!
Christina’s notes:
Make sure you cut the bottom of your asparagus off if they are dried out or have hard woody ends.
