Breakfast Sausage Patties are so easy to make on your own, that you will never want to buy the frozen patties again! It’s an absolute game changer and will be a favorite way to start the day.
Ingredients:
5 lb. Pork butt (shoulder), cut into chunks, fat kept on
5 lb. Beef or venison cut into chunks
1/3 C. Kosher salt
1/4 C. Dried sage
2 tsp. Dried thyme
1 tsp. garlic powder
4 tsp. Black pepper
1 tsp. Red pepper flakes
4 tsp. Brown sugar
1/2 tsp. Ground cloves
What to do:
Place your meat and seasonings in a large bowl. Toss to combine, making sure every piece of meat has seasonings on it. Grind your meat and place into one pound packages. Freeze to enjoy for later.
Christina’s Notes:
You can also use preground pork if you don’t have a grinder. Using beef or venison as an option. We like to use a 50/50 mix. You can use any combination or ratio just as long as it equals 10 pounds.
