This peach crisp recipe is old-school, but it’s still the best! Fresh peaches baked till they’re soft, topped with a cinnamon-oat crumble. Serve it warm with a big scoop of ice cream, and you’ve got a dessert that’ll knock your socks off!
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 45- 1 hour
Serves: 6-8
Ingredients:
6–7 peaches, peeled or unpeeled and chopped
2 T. Granulated sugar
1 tsp. Ground cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. Lemon juice
Topping:
1 C. Brown sugar
3/4 C. Old fashioned oats
3/4 C. All-purpose flour
1 tsp. Ground cinnamon
1/2 C. Melted butter
pinch of salt
What to do:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Butter up an 8×8 baking dish, or give it a good spray with non-stick cooking spray. Then just leave it be for now.
In a big bowl, throw in the chopped fruit, the sugar, a teaspoon of cinnamon, and a squeeze of lemon juice. Mix it all up, then put everything in the baking dish.
In another bowl, toss in the topping goodies – brown sugar, oats, flour, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, a pinch of salt, and melted butter. Stir it all up real good until everything’s nicely mixed. Spread the topping over the apples in the baking dish, and gently pat it to even it out. Then, pop it in the oven and bake for 44 minutes to 1 hour, until it’s all golden brown and bubbly.
