I remember doing this craft in elementary school. It brings back a lot of good memories. You can make this craft as simple or as intricate as you wish.

What you’ll need:
You can use what you have on hand or buy tin, metal, or aluminum at a craft store. I reuse pie tins and aluminum baking trays because these will be going on my outdoor Christmas tree. Also, you can buy these cheaply at the dollar store. I don’t find that the edges are too sharp, but you can always sand them down if need be.
Ideas for metal, tin, aluminum:
Pie tins
baking trays
pop cans
craft stores, etc.
Once you have your metal, you will need something to draw. You can freehand, use a coloring book, pattern book, etc. Also, tracing paper is a lifesaver to trace your pattern onto the metal.
You can buy metal tools at craft stores just for embossing metal. I’m only making a few for the outdoor Christmas tree. So, I used a blunt pen.
You will also need a softer book or cardboard. Place it under the metal as you emboss. This way, the metal will press through well.
You can hang these individually, as a garland; you can paint them, stain them, etc. You can get as intricate as you want or be as simple as I was. The world is your oyster on this one.
