Ingredients:
1 2/3 C. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 C. butter room temperature
3/4 C. sugars
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Sugar Coating:
1/3 C. sugar
4 ½ teaspoon cinnamon
What to do:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a medium size bowl, mix dry ingredients, set aside. Cream together butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and mix well. In a separate bowl mix the 1/3 cup sugar and cinnamon, set aside. Roll dough into 1 inch balls and cover in sugar, cinnamon mixer. Set balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet, lightly flatten. Bake for 10 minutes until lightly browned.
