2 T. of oil
2 lbs. of ground beef or ground turkey
1/2 whole large onion, diced
1 whole large green bell pepper, diced
5 cloves of garlic, minced
1 C. of BBQ sauce (whatever BBQ your family enjoys)

2 to 3 T. tabasco sauce
Salt to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

What to do:
Add oil to a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium high heat. Add ground beef or turkey and cook until no longer pink. Drain most of the fat and discard. Add onions, green pepper, and garlic and cook for a few minutes, or until vegetables begin to get soft.
Add BBQ sauce, ketchup, chili pepper and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine and simmer for 15 minutes, adding salt and pepper to taste. Then add tomato paste, Worcestershire, and tabasco. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Spoon meat mixture over buns and top with the sharp cheddar cheese.
