Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 12 to 15 minutes
Serves: 4-12 rolls depending on the size you make them
Ingredients:
1 1/2 T. active yeast
1 C. plus 2 T. whole milk (temperature should be between 110 to 115 degrees)
1/3 C. oil
2 T. sugar
1 large egg
2 T. white vinegar
1 tsp. salt
3-3 ½ C. bread flour, all-purpose will work also but it won’t be as soft
What to do:
In a large bowl dissolve yeast in the warm milk, oil, and sugar; let it sit for 3-5 minutes to let the yeast bubble. This will also let you know if your yeast is alive and usable. In a small bowl whisk your egg and vinegar together. In the yeast bowl add your flour (all but a ½ cup, you can add this in if the dough is to wet) and salt. Then finally add the egg and vinegar mixture. Mix until it forms a soft dough. Flour your surface and knead for 3-5 minutes or until smooth and elastic. Divide in the desired number of buns, 2, 4, 6 etc. Then shape them into balls and flatten just a little. Let rise for a ½ hour or until its doubled in size. Bake at 425 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pan or sheet and let rest on a wire rack to cool down.

I have always wanted to make homemade buns. But, thought it would be very hard and labor intensive. NOPE, not at all very easy.
